As I cooked last night, and awoke this morning preparing for my family, my heart is so heavy with the faces of Ugandan children etched in my memory. While many of us will enjoy our warm homes with electricity, running water and sit at beautifully decorated tables to a feast of delicious food, these children (some of them malnourished) will have very little, or NO food at all. I am thankful for my family and friends, but I’m most thankful for God allowing me to have a heart to serve and give back. Harriett, Myriam, and all the other children of Uganda, Africa, I am thankful that each of you have changed my life in your own special way. You give me a new reason to give thanks! Happy Thanksgiving.
