Dru Ealons, EPA Director of the Office of Public Engagement, hosted the event in order to introduce our National Board to other potential governmental organizations that were interested in partnering with Mocha Moms, Inc. It was a lovely evening of sharing ideas, and meeting new people, including the White House Staff we worked tirelessly with to pull together our Moms Briefing.
We met with Actress Karyn Parsons, of the Fresh Prince of Belair and Sweet Blackberry. Karyn was scheduled to be our special guest at the Moms Briefing the next day. Karyn’s non-profit, Sweet Blackberry, brings little known stories of African-American achievement to children everywhere. What a great way to share the history of our culture.
See photos below from my night of fun before the White House festivities.
