My wife recently bought me an Asus Transformer for a graduation present, and all I can say is WOW! I love this thing! I have only had it for a few days and already don’t want to go anywhere without it. I was already a big fan of android and this gadget just makes me like it just that much more. Working with a 10″ tablet takes a little getting used to at first (so used to working with my EVO), but I am quickly becoming accustomed to it. My first impression was that this would be great on plane trips, sitting in waiting room, or one of my favorite activities, laying in bed watching Netflix! That’s because tablets are primarily for consumption and not creation. Great for games, music, video, reading email and e-books, but let’s face it, you wouldn’t want to write an essay on one. I wouldn’t even consider one as a PC replacement, that is until the keyboard docking station came in today! Ok, the keyboard essentially turns this tablet into a netbook and just made me fall in love with it all over again. I still wouldn’t try to use it for extensive document creation, but for light use, the transformer is perfect for it!
All I can say is “Thank you, thank you, thank you sweetie for getting this,” and yes I will be blogging, tweeting and facebooking from Blogalicious 2011 Conference this weekend, using my new favorite toy!
