TO-DON’T List

Am I a perfectionist? Some may think so. But I prefer to say that I have standards. My goal is to always walk in excellence, though I sometimes fail miserably. But hey, we all have to reach for our best, right?

Before marriage and kids, everything was in order. The house was so clean, you could eat off the floor. Never was there a dish left in the sink, or clothes in the laundry basket. I took such pride in being organized and on top of everything in my life. Okay, okay! A bit of a control freak, I guess. I just seem to breathe easier when everything is in the right place. But “right” by whose standards? Mine of course. Naturally, as a single woman, I was the only one that mattered ;-).

AFTER marriage and the kids, I stress over the moments of disorganization, misplaced items, never-ending laundry, running a company, and a TO-DO list I’ll never see the end of.

Even in my fast-paced, action-packed life, it’s not in my nature to ignore things.  So instead, my solution is a TO-DON’T list.  Would you guess what the #1 thing on my list is? You’ve got it. DON’T STRESS!

All other items on the list are irrelevant if I can just get #1 down consistently.
